Made
direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so
would injure them or others.
"Give and it shall be given you. A good
measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be
poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be
measured to you." (Luke 6:38**)

The
ninth step continues the process of clearing the wreckage of the
past. We take our list of people we had harmed and begin the process
of making amends to them. For some that might be coming up with a
payment plan to repay a loan. For others it might be a simple
apology. Correcting something we messing up, Bringing comfort to a hurt co-worker. It's important to remember that
this is not a step
where we beat ourselves up. We should not feel compelled to make an
amend that will be detrimental to us just to punish ourselves. Don’t
let your amends be at the cost of other people’s security, dignity
and well being. It is a healing experience for me and the people I
made amends to. But should not be at the expense of causing more
pain. Say your sorry when and if you can. If you can't I have always
recommend people do something good for someone they do not know in
place of the amends.
We
will experience various feelings as we start making amends. We may
feel comfortable with some amends, and fearful of others. If we face
our amends anticipating refusal or reprisal, then this experience
won't be of benefit to us. We may be fearful, but it should always be
our intention to be prepared for whatever outcome may result -
fearlessly. A lot of our amends may never be totally completed;
however, we should strive with an attempt at complete restoration.
With our relationships, we must exert vigor on a continual basis to
better improve them; only then will many of our amends really have
affect.
Many members in the Fellowship are not able to repair
each and every one or our wrongs. We do have added support from our
sponsors, from supporters of our recovery, and from the love of our
Higher Power to safeguard us from potential ruinous fallout’s. In
actuality, we still grow through the course of action, and in the
end, we become grateful that we made the amends. We always wear the
shield that our Higher Power equips us with, in which we can make use
of at any point in time during our amends process.

Hope you like these common "Prayers," I know they
have made huge changes in my life as helped me to keep God focused. This site, These are just sections from papers over the
years, I have been doing this since 1985 when I was the Spiritual Advisor for a center and the development director
for another over the years. I learned that recovery can take on a great number of faces for different people. Although,
one thing I have always believed is Faith Based Recovery has an indwelling success rate unlike any other form. However, I
talk to people all over the world and meet people who's belief system in not as mine, we do not judge people, we do not categorize people
in little groups, what is important is your recovery regardless of your sex, religion, or national origin. Sure it would be
nice to know that everyone was in a personal relationship with The God our Savior Creator and Salvation, this site is meant
to help you establish, (If you have not done so already), and or keep a strong recovery life daily. A tool. I have been greatly blessed, in that, God has opened doors in other countries
around the world for us. Many of you know already, for those that do not, I have a disc & Nerve disease, it is real hard
for me just to be able to do what normal people do everyday, I say this to say that, it may take me some time but I usually
get around to getting things done. I do write for more than one on-line site, if you don't see activity here does not mean
that I will not get around to posting papers, there are time when I get stuck in bed for periods. This site is meant for you... You matter, don't let anyone ever lead you
to believe differently. God made you unlike anyone else, even though we kind-of look similar to others, there are
very many great things about us God made just for us / in us.. Remember that! And Live accordingly. :) :)
